The National Council of Ministers have decided to give Sint Maarten a Formal Instruction,
the 2015 budgets and multiyears estimates must be brought into order.
The National Council of Ministers is following the advice of the Financial Supervision of Curacao and St Maarten (CFT)
Sint Maarten must take action to reduce the arrears amounting to at least 189 million Antillian Guilders.
(Approx $100 Million U.S. Dollars)
This is to offset the the previous years shortfall of at least 60 million Antillian Guilders.( approx $33 Million U.S. Dollars)
This is to make up for the financial period 2015-2018.
The country also has to consider realistic spending when it comes to pensions and the health care system.
It is a way to take steps to stablelize the health and retirement system for the future.
The measures are to be recorded in an amendment budget that will be set for October 31 2015…
